Our Vision
What we value at yksi games lives somewhere between light and shadow.
We believe games can be existential and artistic — not just fun, but meaningful.
We tell stories that reflect the world back at you — strange, and uncomfortably real.
Built from a solo start — but grounded in the belief that every voice and input matters.

Our Services
We don’t just make our own games — we help others build theirs.
At yksi games, we offer creative and technical services for indie developers and small studios.
Whether you need hands-on support or artistic direction, we’re here to help your vision take shape.
We provide:
- Game programming – from rapid prototyping to production-ready systems
- Tech art – including shaders, animation systems, visual polish, and custom tools
- Game design support – including narrative structure, level design, and systems thinking
- Mentorship and workshops – teaching coding, shaders, and visual development
Let’s build something meaningful together.
Our Approach
Artistic Expression
At Yksi Games, we embrace artistic expression as the core of our creative process. Each game is a canvas where we blend art, technology, and storytelling to convey profound emotions and themes.
Innovative Gameplay
We are dedicated to exploring innovative gameplay mechanics that engage and challenge players, fostering a sense of discovery and immersion in our games.
Meaningful Connections
Community and meaningful connections are integral to our approach. We aim to cultivate a supportive and inclusive gaming community, fostering discussions and interactions that extend beyond the virtual world.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Olesia Zaidman — founder, game developer, and creative behind yksi games (“uu-k-see” = Finnish for “one”).
I work across programming, tech art, art direction, narrative and game design — bringing systems and story together.
I started my career in games at ustwo games, where I contributed to the sequel of the BAFTA-awarded Monument Valley 3. Before games, I worked in journalism and visual storytelling — and that lens still shapes everything I make.
This studio is my way of exploring the big, messy question: “What are we even doing here?”
I believe in stories that dive into the stranger corners of society and self, striking art, and building things that leave a mark.
